Travelling from Hungary, Balazs and Barbara knew they wanted a natural island landscape of Greece and deep blues of Aegean sea for their wedding. They were looking for something intimate and that would make great pictures. Santorini is by far the most popular island to elope in Greece.
The couple decided to keep their guest list small and they held their wedding outdoors, at beautiful private balcony of Andromeda villas Hotel in Imerovigli village right on the caldera slope with incredible view of the sea and the volcano.
With fewer than 10 guests, Santorini checked all the boxes: amazingly beautiful traditional settlements with white wash cave houses carved into the rugged clifftop, gorgeous churches with blue domes, the biggest caldera in the world and, of course, a mountain backdrop. One of the most beautiful Greek islands not requiring an arduous flight to access from almost all of European cities.
The day was a gorgeous beginning-of-summer sunny Santorini day. June is so idyllic for getting married outdoors on this magical Greek island. The day started out with Barbara pampering herself with bridal hair and makeup services from the stylist from our team – who came out to couple's honeymoon suite in Sunset hotel located in nearby village Firostefani, to work her magic. Barbara looked gorgeous, but not overly made-up. The exact look she was seeking.
Then it was off to the wedding ceremony and cocktail on the venue and after the newlyweds moved to the photo & video shoot session to famous coastal Oia town on the northwestern tip of Santorini, with Blue Domes as a background. The celebration proceeded to the beautifully set dinner in the indoor restaurant hall of Andromeda villas with panoramic view of the caldera.
